Our Heritage
At JPE Design Studio, we have a continuous lineage of Directorship dating back to 1851, making us the oldest Architectural Practice in Australia. We are very proud of our rich heritage and the impact our firm’s lineage has had on the fabric of the city of Adelaide. The longevity of our Practice forms a key part of our culture and identity as we strive to continue this great legacy and serve our clients as a contemporary Practice into the future.
Our Process
As designers we seek to challenge the status quo and strive to reveal the key opportunities in every project. Our holistic approach to projects is a key value add and part of our philosophy. Our team believes that an integrated approach to the design and delivery process, considering the precinct, site, environment and built form from day one, creates unique and interconnected design that is focused on the user experience. We are sought after for our ability to consult well, listen to our client’s needs and respond through unique design outcomes.
Our Co-Design approach creates space for the sharing of ideas, solutions and a collaborative culture that includes the client, stakeholders, design team and builder. The benefit begins with a shared sense of ownership from brief development and a clear concept definition then underpins and guides the design decisions to completion. With a commitment to research, industry engagement and the cross pollination of design and leadership experience in our studio, we strive to develop trusted relationships and achieve design excellence.
