Founded by Marie France and Thibaud de Metz both graduates of the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage in Versailles, the arpentère studio is attuned to the territories and natural environments it shapes. Since its beginnings in Paris the agency has embraced major ecological, urban, and social challenges with the conviction that landscape is a living material — both functional and poetic.
A winner of numerous competitions arpentère has established itself on the public stage with emblematic projects that reflect its commitment to a wide range of public clients. The studio is also dedicated to the preservation of protected and historic sites.
arpentère brings together a multidisciplinary team : landscape designers, urban planners, architects, and engineers, each contributing their expertise to rethink public space design and the role of vegetation in the city. This diversity of skills allows the agency to approach each project with a strong ecological sensitivity while maintaining a critical and innovative eye on the relationship between use and urbanity.
Now led by Thibaud de Metz the studio continues to innovate while remaining true to the values of simplicity and sustainability. Each project is conceived with respect for ecology and the history of the site with the ambition of creating resonant landscapes — carrying both aesthetic and emotional significance in constant dialogue with those who inhabit and traverse them.
