MBYland

Denmark

MBYland combines classic landscape architecture with a creative approach to urban design. The landscape architecture practice was established by Mette Bruun Yde in 2016 and is based in Aarhus, Denmark. The diverse portfolio includes urban furniture, public spaces for residential and educational buildings and city plan reports, the scale ranging from gardens, playscapes and pocket parks in Denmark to international masterplans. MBYland’s work is developed in dialogue with the users and pays tribute to the particular spirit of specific public spaces. Art and scenography inspire new open forms of cities and landscapes. Special ambitions of the practice are to increase the experience of wilderness and biodiversity in cities by landscaping urban spaces as well as promoting children’s equality and active lifestyle through fluent transitions between observers and performers.
