Studio “PUPA/Life Over Space” is a team of urbanists and landscape architects based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Our focus lies in landscape architecture, research, and urban planning and design. We explore the forces shaping cities and believe that every space reflects the social, cultural, and economic dynamics of urban life. Our aim is to improve living environments by designing healthy, accessible, and sustainable spaces.
Our expertise in urban issues and innovative thinking reflects through in every project. While many can design attractive spaces, our strength lies in creating places people actively use every day, driven by vision and thorough analysis. Founded in 2013 by Justina Muliuolyte and Tadas Jonauskis, both graduates of Delft University of Technology, PUPA has worked on numerous Lithuanian and international projects. We teach at Vilnius Tech University, consult municipalities, and participate in conferences and events. Our work has been exhibited in the Venice Biennale and International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, recognized in competitions.
We don’t stop at planning—we oversee projects through to completion. Our focus is on long-term impact, ensuring cities evolve with the changing needs of their communities. We involve local voices through workshops and consultations, designing spaces that are flexible, lively, and serve the people who live there.
