It has been for a considerable time that we have been thinking about adding aluminium to our range of street furniture. Aluminium is indeed extremely suitable for a use in public spaces. It is not only its technical caracteristics that make it stand out, but also its aesthetic and practicality. The hollow slats, embedded in a steel structure, that catch your eye with their silky surface shimmering the different lights throughout the day. Pleasing to the eye with its lustrous, silvery-white color, it has also a smooth tactile sensation which makes it a material as interesting to designers as it is for end users. The higher quality of aluminium does not call for an additional cost due to our organisation and business model. Therefore we have decided to make it available straightaway on twelve products.

Aluminium is one of the most abundant metals on Earth and has several characteristics: it’s versatile, light, flexible and durable. Aluminum is a lightweight metal, weighing approximately 60 percent less than stainless steel, copper or brass. Aluminium is 100% recyclable. It can be recycled countless times to be used again in different ways without ever losing any of its intrinsic properties. Aluminium is also a corrosion resistant metal that naturally generates a protective coating. The coating that is formed is extremely thin and is generated when aluminium comes into contact with an oxidising environment. This resistance is even better with anodized aluminum which is the kind of aluminium we have chosen to use for our furniture.
