bbz landschaftsarchitekten: The design of the outdoor facilities of the former renowned Schladerer schnapps distillery aims to take up and develop local features. The tradition of fruit growing with its accompanying planting is incorporated in the planting palette. The commercial canal running through the site in the form of a “brook” forms the central landscape element of the residential complex.
The loose sequence of private gardens and communal areas is structured by wild herbaceous beds and local shrubs. Traditionally, these “bee pastures” are companion plantings in fruit growing.
Various old cultivated varieties of fruit trees, which are also processed in the Schladerer fruit distillery, are located at the entrance to the house.
