Botany is the scientific study of plants—their forms, processes, and relationships. In design, botany is never just science. It intersects with ethnobotany (plant knowledge in cultures), and with ideas of plant agency, where plants are seen not only as resources but as actors. Botany means more than identification—it is about how plants shape spaces, relations, and meanings. This tag gathers plant knowledge, ethnobotany, and plant agency as crucial dimensions of design.
