BOGL is an award-winning Scandinavian architecture firm specializing in landscape architecture and urban planning. We shape the spaces around, between, and above our buildings and cities—connecting people and nature through thoughtful, sustainable designs.
Rooted in the Nordic design tradition, our work is grounded in quality materials, tectonic clarity, and timeless aesthetics. The aim is to create beautiful and functional settings that lead to improved quality of life for all users.
Our approach centers on creating a greener and more sustainable future that enables new functions and activities in both dense urban areas and open landscapes. In that sense, sustainability is not just a design principle for us-it is a fundamental driver of our projects.
Our projects range in scale from regional masterplans and parks to plazas, cultural venues, schools, and neighborhood spaces. No matter the size or phase, we adopt a holistic approach, ensuring coherence from idea to execution. We frequently test design concepts at multiple scales and use physical models to explore how materials, forms, and functions interact—translating abstract ideas into concrete, resilient solutions.
Every site and context bring its own complexities, and we embrace them—whether it’s working in conservation areas, dealing with technical structures and challenges, or integrating existing site heritage. We work to combine the past, present and future in ways that respect what came before while making space for contemporary life and future needs.
With more than 60 built projects to date, many of which have become key public destinations, we’ve demonstrated that innovation, functionality, and buildability can coexist. We integrate both traditional and contemporary techniques, always aiming for well-balanced, context-specific outcomes that invite daily use and long-term relevance.
Over the past 15 years, BOGL’s work has received numerous awards and has been exhibited in Denmark and internationally. We win many of our commissions through design competitions, a testament to our consistently high architectural and conceptual standard.
Founded in 2009 by Adam Bang and Jens Linnet, BOGL today comprises 30 employees based in our offices in Copenhagen and Oslo. Our team shares a commitment to crafting sustainable, inclusive, and vibrant environments—where nature and human life come together in harmony.
