Rooftops are residual surfaces turned sites of potential—green roofs, solar fields, recreational terraces. They expand the urban ground plane vertically, integrating ecological functions into infrastructural layers. Rooftops exemplify how overlooked surfaces can be reimagined as active landscapes.
